I started my journey to Meerenschwand at 3 pm. It was kind of heavy traffic
on the swiss freeways but I never had a real traffic jam. |

One village before I lost my way to Meerenschwand, I took this picture
with this gorgeous church in the background. No idea what exactely they
do there but it is looking beautiful. If you ever visit switzerland you
will see many of this churches and abbeys throughout switzerland. Most
of theme were used as a abbey in the last centuries. Nowadays they are
sometimes churches, or hostels for different kind of people. |

Finally, I arrived in Meerenschwand where I met first Carola and Sarah
and tons of american flags. Walti and Lisbeth have a wonderful house.
It is just perfect for two people and I think they really enjoy to live
there. |
|
05.07.03; 16:13
The "better half" Lisbeth! |
|
05.07.03; 16:13
This afternoon we drank liters of wine.... just to delicious and very
good for the blood. |
|
05.07.03; 17:42
A little bit later arrived also Mirco and Nicolas, the last two of our
small ex american group. Walti went with them for a small house and motorcycle
seeing. |
|
05.07.03; 18:06
Hehe.... nothing to report to this picture. Memories, just memories. |
|
05.07.03; 18:06
Mirco, he is a fuc.... nice guy but he doesn't find a girlfriend. If
you are interested to meet him or to call him, let me know and I will
try to connect you with him. |
|
05.07.03; 18:06
Carola with the most charming smile she has... By the way, if you are
once in the "Inner Schweiz" don't forget to step by in her hometown
Brunnen. It's a beautiful small town near the lake of lucerne in the middle
of switzerland. |
|
05.07.03; 18:12
Nicolas and Sarah... Don't remember what he was speaking aobut but it
seems that Sarah doesn't agree.
|
|
05.07.03; 18:38
The food was delicious! Thank you once more Lisbeth. |
|
05.07.03; 18:38
And now some more impression of our "ex LaJolla" meeting in
Meerenschwand, July 2003.... |
|
05.07.03; 19:06
.....Mirco sleeping after the dinner.... |
|
05.07.03; 19:17
....and dreaming about the american girls... |
|
05.07.03; 19:35
..... later on discussing with the rest of us... |
|
05.07.03; 19:36
....and watching all the taken photos.... |
|
05.07.03; 19:48
.... which ones were absolutely impressing and thrilling even though
Lisbeth looks quite suspect. |
|
05.07.03; 22:26
Afterwards we moved inside the house because it was a little bit chilly
outside. Another discussion started... |
|
05.07.03; 22:50
....we took few more pictures... |
|
05.07.03; 23:09
....and discussed again. |
|
06.07.03; 00:00
And then at midnight the surprise was perfect as Walter told us that
the 6. of July is his birthday! So he was happy to have Lisbeth, Carola
and Sarah at his place to congratulate, to kiss and to wish him all the
best for the next 29 years. |
|
06.07.03; 00:00
Mirco wanted to kiss him too but Walter prefered to shake only Mircos
hand. A great picture I think. |
|
06.07.03; 00:37
Sarah far away in her thoughts.... |
|
06.07.03; 00:37
....and Carola smiling about a joke from Mirco. |
|
06.07.03; 00:38
The producer of this homepage himself:
Mr. Tomi Tomato! |
|
06.07.03; 00:46
What a nice couple... As I remember right that night we had our good-bye
party in San Diego he flirted with Carola but since she told him that
he will be never the man of her live he changed to Sarah:-) |
|
06.07.03; 01:24
Walti already tired tried to explain Sarah something. |
|
06.07.03; 02:17
Now something really important for us! This is special for all not swiss
citizens who never understand why we drink that much milk. Let me explain
you:
As you can see the letters on the milk can:
MILCH LAIT LATTE
that means in english:
MILK BRINGS DOWN THE TENT.
You have just to imagine that tent is not really a tent, this is just
a fictiv expression.... If you don't get it, just ask me and I will answer
you in a discret mail. |
|
|
Okay this was another report from "La Jolla News" but this
time not from "La Jolla" but instead from Waltis house in Meerenschwand.
It was a really funny and interesting night and I really hope we will
do so soon again.
Thanks for your patience!
